By Robbie Hargett | Oct 28, 2015

A Waterloo woman is suing a logistics company and one of its employees, alleging negligence for injuries the woman sustained in a vehicle collision.

Betty Ramer filed a lawsuit on Oct. 5 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Bill Jae Yung Park and Angel Logistics, alleging negligence.

At approximately 11:18 a.m. April 26, the complaint states, Ramer was operating a 1998 Lincoln Town car and was stopped at a light on northbound state Route 3 at its intersection with South Main Street in Columbia, when Park, operating a 2011 Freightliner Cascadia in the scope of his employment with Angel Logistics, allegedly rear-ended Ramer's vehicle while the light was red.

The suit alleges Park was negligent in failing to keep proper lookout, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and other negligent acts or omissions. As a result, the lawsuit states, the plaintiff claims she sustained total destruction of her automobile, bodily injuries, disability and disfigurement, physical pain and mental anguish.

Ramer seeks a judgment of more than $50,000 against each defendant, plus costs of the suit. She is represented by attorney Stephen C. Buser of the Law Office of Stephen C. Buser in Columbia.

St. Clair County Circuit Court case number 15-L-565.
