A motorist is suing another driver, alleging negligence in a car crash the plaintiff says caused her injuries.
Megan Taylor filed a lawsuit on Sept. 24 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Lauren Hazard, alleging that Hazard negligently collided into the side of her vehicle.
According to the complaint, on Dec. 28, 2014, Taylor and Hazard were traveling northbound on Interstate Highway 255 in St. Clair County.
The suit says the defendant failed to keep a lookout, failed to maintain control of her vehicle and was driving faster than reasonable. These factors allegedly caused her to crash into the side of Taylor’s vehicle, causing injuries to the plaintiff's head, body and limbs, the suit says.
Taylor seeks more than $50,000 in damages, including medical expenses and costs of suit. She is represented by attorneys Thomas C. Rich, Kristina D. Cooksey and Michelle M. Rich of Fairview.
