An Edwardsville construction company is suing a sub-contractor for allegedly failing to properly maintain standards on a project at an aquatics complex.
Contegra Construction Company, LLC, filed a lawsuit on Oct. 1 in Madison County Circuit Court against Creative Construction By Design Corp., claiming breech of contract and fraud on a pool project.
According to the complaint, Contegra claims it entered into a contract with Creative Construction for sub-contracting work on an aquatics complex in Lincoln in which Creative Construction would be responsible for staffing and completing the work.
However, Contegra alleges Creative Construction failed to staff the project with a sufficient number of qualified workers and failed to properly maintain standards of construction on the project.
Contegra claims it has repeatedly requested that Creative Construction address the problems.
Contegra seeks $50,00 for each count of breech of contract, fraudulent misrepresentation and fraud, as well as declaratory judgement against Creative Construction's claim for payment.
