An East St. Louis woman is suing a Millstadt woman over injuries she claims she sustained in a vehicle collision between the two parties.
Helen M. Humphrey filed a complaint on Sept. 17 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Taylor N. Perry, alleging negligence.
On Sept. 27, 2013, the complaint states, Humphrey was driving her 1999 Infinity QX4 eastbound on Broadway at its intersection with Fourth Street in East St. Louis. She attempted to make a left-hand turn onto one-way northbound Fourth Street when she was allegedly struck by Perry's 2007 Mazda 6.
The complaint states Perry was negligent in failing to stop at the stop sign, failing to keep proper lookout and speeding. As a result, Humphrey claims she suffered injuries to her head, neck, back, feet, chest, and knees, for which she has incurred medical expenses.
Humphrey seeks a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs of the suit. She is represented by Steven S. Fluhr of Fluhr & Associates in St. Louis.
