St. Clair County man sues auto insurer over unpaid medpay claims following accident

A St. Clair County man is suing his auto insurer over claims it has refused to pay for medpay coverage following a vehicle accident the man was involved in.

Levi Bridges filed a complaint on July 30 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against USAA Property and Casualty.

The complaint states that on April 27, 2014, Bridges was involved in a car accident with his insured vehicle and incurred medical expenses to treat his resulting injuries.

His contract with USAA Property and Casualty provides for $5,000 of medpay coverage, and although Bridges provided the defendant with all medical records and incurred bills, USAA Property and Casualty has allegedly intentionally, and without legal justification, refused to pay the medpay coverage, according to the complaint.

Bridges seeks a judgment against the defendant for the $5,000 medpay coverage, plus court costs and attorney fees. He is represented by Daniel K. Juncker, P.C. of Belleville.
