St. Clair County motorist sues two other drivers following three-car accident

A St. Clair County motorist is suing two other drivers, alleging their negligence led to a three-car accident.

Anthony Williams filed a lawsuit on Aug. 3 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Joshua P. Feist, of Belleville, and Joshua A. Jaskot, of Marine, alleging vehicular negligence.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 9, 2013, Williams stopped his 2005 Buick LeSabre on Hartman Lane in Shiloh. The suit says the vehicles driven by Feist and Jaskot then collided and rammed into Williams' Buick.

The suit alleges Feist was negligent when he failed to yield the right of way, keep a proper lookout, make a safe left turn, reduce speed to avoid a crash, and keep his vehicle under control. The suit says Jaskot was negligent for entering the intersection on a yellow light and failing to yield the right of way and to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

As a result, the plaintiff sustained injuries, lost wages, pain and suffering, loss of a normal life and medical expenses, the suit says.

Williams seeks damages of more than $100,000, more than $50,000 from each defendant, plus legal costs. He is represented by attorney Ronald A. Roth of the Roth Law Offices in Granite City.

St. Clair County Circuit Court case number 15-L-439.
