Madison County woman sues following Williamsville vehicle collision

A Madison County woman is suing following a vehicle collision in Williamsville.

Markia Ivy, individually and as mother of minor Malik A. Allen, filed a complaint Aug. 5 in Madison County Circuit Court against Alan D. Longworth, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 11, 2013, Longworth's vehicle rear-ended Ivy's vehicle while she was stopped at a stop sign at the end of the exit ramp from Interstate 55 southbound in Williamsville.

The complaint states that Ivy has sustained severe and permanent injuries to her body, aggravated preexisting conditions, incurred and will continue to incur medical bills for treatment, lost and may continue to lose wages and benefits, suffered possibly permanent disability and impairment, and has experienced great pain and suffering as a result of the accident.

Ivy has also incurred medical bills for treatment of her son's similarly sustained injuries. She seeks a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs of the suit.

She is represented by Brian M. Wendler and Ellen Burford of Wendler Law P.C. in Edwardsville.

Madison County Circuit Court case number 15L995.
