A Granite City woman says she suffered severe back injuries when another driver turned left in front of her and caused a crash.
Stephanie M. Gaddy filed a lawsuit Dec. 13 against Helen A. Beeler in Madison County Circuit Court.
According to the complaint, Gaddy was driving west on Horseshoe Lake Road in December 2010. As she neared the Holiday Mobile Home Park entrance, Gaddy says Beeler, driving east on the same road, tried to turn left into the mobile home park. Gaddy claims Beeler turned directly in front of her making it impossible to avoid a collision.
Gaddy accuses Beeler of negligence for allegedly failing to yield to oncoming traffic. She asks for an unspecified amount of money in damages for medical expenses, lost wages and court fees.
Gaddy is represented by attorney Jim Ellis of Belleville.
