A woman has filed suit against the pharmacy where she claims she fell on liquid spilled on the floor.
Roberta Mince claims she was shopping at defendant Walgreens on May 18, 2011, when she slipped and fell on liquid.
Because of her fall, Mince became sick, sore, lame and disordered; suffered great pain and anguish; and experienced neck, back, knee and ankle injuries, according to the complaint filed Dec. 5 in Madison County Circuit Court. She also incurred medical costs and suffered internal derangement of her injured body parts, the suit states.
Walgreens allegedly failed to keep its property in a safe condition, failed to remove all liquids from the floor and failed to warn users that there was liquid on the floor, the complaint says.
In her complaint, Mince is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
Richard G. Reed of Reed and Bruhn in Belleville will be representing her.
