ST. LOUIS - Evans & Dixon LLC has elected five new members to its firm.
David C. Berwin, Karie E. Casey, Karen Jones, Eugene P. Schmittgens, Jr. and Gerald M. Richardson have been voted as new members.
David C. Berwin practices civil litigation, focusing on business claims, including insurance defense, product liability, premises liability, toxic torts and general liability. Berwin graduated from St. Louis University Law School and is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers.
Karie E. Casey has 20 years of experience, specializing in workers’ compensation law and is a graduate of St. Louis University School of Law. She has tried numerous cases and argued appeals to the Labor & Industrial Relations Commission and the Missouri Court of Appeals. Casey is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association, the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.
Karen Jones concentrates her practice in civil litigation and is a graduate of Washington University School of Law. She is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys.
Eugene P. Schmittgens, Jr. practices environmental law and is a graduate of St. Louis University School of Law. Schmittgens is a member of the environmental law committee for the Missouri Bar Association and the past chair of the Illinois Bar Association’s Environmental Law Section. Schmittgens is also an assistant adjunct professor at St. Louis University School of Law.
