Sivia Business and Legal Services of Edwardsville is hosting free seminars on the "fiscal cliff" throughout the Metro East.
The seminars serve to inform the public of 2013 tax changes and how to prepare for their onset.
“As we approach 2013 many people remain oblivious of tax changes that can possibly lead to a 55 percent tax on their estates," said firm founder Todd Sivia. "As a trusted advisor within the community, I find it paramount to educate the public of the changes and equip them with information that will prepare them for the future of their estate."
The next seminars will take place Dec. 11 at Teaspoons Cafe in Edwardsville and Dec. 12 at the Country Inn and Suites in O'Fallon. Each seminar will begin at 6 p.m. and last approximately one hour. Individuals not able to attend may obtain information on the upcoming tax changes at SiviaLaw.com.
A brief question and answer session on estate planning and estate taxes will conclude each seminar.
Sivia said he encourages attendees to ask general questions on the upcoming tax changes and estate planning.
“Proper estate planning ensures your last wishes are executed properly without unforeseen Estate Taxes,” he said.
