A Troy woman has filed suit against the driver who she claims struck the back of her vehicle.

Susan B. Barnett claims she was driving north on Troy O’Fallon Road near its intersection with Lebanon Road in Jarvis Township on Dec. 12, 2010, when defendant Tyler J. Harris, who was driving a vehicle for defendant McCullough’s Flooring Enterprise, struck the back of her vehicle.

Because of the collision, Barnett incurred medical costs, suffered pain and lost her normal life and her income, according to the complaint filed Oct. 9 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

Harris negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, drove too fast and failed to yield as Barnett waited to make a left-hand turn, the suit states.

In her two-count complaint, Barnett is seeking a judgment of more than $100,000, plus costs.
