A Georgia corporation claims one of its customers failed to pay more than $70,000 for electrical supplies purchased on a line of credit.
General Supply and Services doing business as Gexpro filed a lawsuit Oct. 9 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against A1 Energy, Jason M. Hark and Charles F. Welegala.
In its complaint, Gexpro alleges it sold the defendants various electrical supplies, materials and equipment on a line of credit between March and July. However, the defendants have failed to repay the $79,644.94 they owe, according to the complaint.
A1 Energy executed the loan, but Hark, its principal, and Welegala, the vice president of sales, are also named as defendants in the suit because they promised that the money would be repaid, the suit states.
In addition to the principal amount owed, A1 Energy owes $718.59 in late fees, the complaint says.
Gexpro seeks costs, attorney's fees and other relief the court deems just, plus the money it says A1 Energy owes it.
Dennis A. Dressler of Dressler and Peters in Chicago will be representing it.
