A Madison County woman is accused of crossing into the wrong lane of traffic and crashing into another driver.
Dana L. Holland filed a lawsuit Sept. 18 in Madison County Circuit Court against Katie Lynn Bixler, formerly known as Katie Lynn Deater.
According to the complaint, Holland was driving north on Professional Drive in Alton in October 2010. Near the intersection of College Avenue and North Rodgers Avenue, Holland says Bixler, driving south on Professional Drive, failed to stop at the traffic signal. Bixler allegedly swerved into Holland's lane of travel, causing the crash.
Holland accuses Bixler of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical costs and court fees.
