Passenger in F-150 sues over injuries in Belleville accident

A Belleville man is accused of rear-ending a truck while driving in East St. Louis.

Phillip Wolford filed a lawsuit Aug. 20 against Neal B. Greiman in St. Clair County Circuit Court.

According to the complaint, Wolford was a passenger in a Ford F-150 being driven by Robert C. Hall in October 2010. Wolford says they were driving south on East Broadway and stopped at the intersection of 17th Street. That was when Greiman, driving a GMC Suburban, allegedly failed to stop and crashed into the back of the truck Wolford was riding in.

Wolford accuses Greiman of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical bills, lost wages and costs of the lawsuit.

He is represented by attorney Rhonda D. Fiss of Bellevile.
