Cintas sued over Route 111 traffic accident

Abel

The driver of a uniform truck is accused of running a red light and crashing into another car in the Township of Canteen.

Kendra M. Harris, individually and on behalf of her minor son, filed a lawsuit Aug. 23 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Anthony M. Holdener and Cintas Corporation.

Harris says she was driving her Pontiac Grand Prix south on Route 111 with her son as a passenger in October 2011. As she crossed the intersection of Bunkum Road, Harris was hit by an Aon Risk Services truck being driven by Holdener, according to the complaint. Harris claims Holdener, driving east on Bunkum Road and trying to turn left onto Route 111, failed to stop at the red light.

Harris and her son accuse Holdener and the owner of the truck, Cintas, of negligence and ask for more than $300,000 in damages for medical bills and court costs.

They are represented by attorneys Gregory D. Abel, Charles A. Lukis, Julie A. Blanks and Craig D. Queen of Decatur.
