Doctor allegedly fails to diagnose diabetes and pituitary tumor, suit says

Brockman

A St. Clair County doctor is accused of failing to diagnose diabetes and a pituitary tumor in one of his patients.

Dale Joseph Carter filed a lawsuit Aug. 15 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Dr. Khaldoun Elzoobi.

According to the complaint, Dr. Elzoobi was Carter's physician from March 2000 through February 2010. During that time Carter claims he went to see Dr. Elzoobi complaining of severe headaches, dizziness, extreme thirst and episodes of bedwetting. Carter alleges Dr. Elzoobi failed to conduct tests through the years that would have shown him to have diabetes insipidus and a pituitary tumor.

Carter is suing Dr. Elzoobi for negligence and asks for more than $1 million in damages for medical expenses and court fees.

He is represented by attorneys James P. Stiehl and Larry O. Brockman of Swansea.

St. Clair County Circuit Court Case No. (not stamped on complaint).
