The Young Lawyers Division of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel (IDC) recently hosted a blood drive at the offices of HeplerBroom in Edwardsville in conjunction with the American Red Cross.
The drive, organized by Mandi K. Ferguson of HeplerBroom, brought together young attorneys from throughout the Metro East area for donations.
"The generosity of the donors was overwhelming, and the Red Cross obtained enough donations to save over 60 lives in the Edwardsville area," Ferguson said in a statement. "I'm so proud that the Young Lawyers Division of the IDC was able to help fulfill our community's constant need for a reliable blood supply."
The IDC was organized in 1964 and currently has more than 1,000 members. The mission of the IDC is to ensure civil justice with integrity, civility and professional competence.
