Another highway road striper has filed a personal injury suit over a a May accident that occurred on I-64 near O'Fallon.
Brian Moore filed suit July 26 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Michael Jeter.
On May 22, Moore says he was employed by Briteway Striping Services Inc. and assigned to a project to install reflective prisms on I-64 near milepost 13 in O'Fallon. While the work was going on, Jeter was allegedly driving east on the interstate at a high rate of speed.
Moore says Jeter sped into a marked construction zone and hit multiple vehicles including the sign truck near where Moore was working. The construction worker says he received severe and disabling injuries to his pelvis, spine and legs.
Moore accuses Jeter of negligence for allegedly speeding, failing to keep proper lookout and failing to keep his vehicle under control. Moore asks to be paid more than $50,000 in damages plus court costs.
Attorney Bruce R. Cook of Belleville represents Moore.
On July 11, Adam Evans and Kory Links filed suit against Jeter, claiming they were seriously injured when he drove his vehicle at a high rate of speed into a construction zone.
They are represented by attorney William S. Beatty of Glen Carbon.
