A St. Clair County woman says she and her daughter were hit by a driver who allegedly ran a red light at a Cahokia intersection.
Krystal Dixon, individually and on behalf of her minor daughter, filed a lawsuit July 16 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Robert Pyle and Professional Transportation Inc.
The alleged crash happened as Dixon was driving with her daughter south on Falling Springs Road in September 2011, according to the complaint. As she crossed the intersection of Camp Jackson Road, Dixon claims her car was hit in the side by Pyle who had been driving west on Camp Jackson Road. Dixon alleges Pyle, driving a Professional Transportation vehicle, failed to stop at a red light.
Dixon says she and her daughter were both hurt in the crash. She accuses Pyle and PTI of negligence and asks for more than $200,000 in damages for medical bills, loss of income and costs of the lawsuit.
Attorneys Thomas C. Rich and Kristina D. Cooksey of Fairview Heights represent Dixon and her daughter.
