Driver claims injuries in Greenmount Road rear-end accident

A driver is asking for more than $50,000 after an alleged rear-end crash in Shiloh.

Angela L. Williams filed the lawsuit June 25 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Robert D. Gilmore.

The alleged crash happened Sept. 12, 2011 on Greenmount Road in Shiloh. Williams says she and Gilmore were both driving north on Greenmount when Gilmore crashed his vehicle into the rear of her car.

Williams accuses Gilmore of negligence, claiming the defendant failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to maintain control of his vehicle.
and failed to take the necessary steps to avoid a collission.

As a result of the crash, Williams says she received internal and external injuries that resulted in disability, disfigurement, pain and mental anguish. She is asking for damages of more than $50,000 for medical expenses, lost wages and a reduced earning capacity.

Attorney Gregory M. Tobin of East Alton is representing Williams.
