A St. Clair County landscape company is named in a lawsuit after the owner allegedly crashed a truck into a motorcycle at an O'Fallon intersection.
Katherine R. Gallagher filed the complaint June 8 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Bernreuter Sod Farms Inc. and owner William Bernreuter.
According to the complaint, Gallagher was a passenger on the back of a motorcycle being operated by Edward Main in April. Gallagher says she and Main were headed north on Scott Troy Road. As they crossed the intersection of Highway 50, Gallagher claims Bernreuter, driving his company vehicle, turned left directly in front of the motorcyle allegedly causing a collission.
Gallagher, who says she was hurt in the crash, contends she and Main had the right of way through the intersection. She accuses Bernreuter Sod Farms and its owner of negligence and asks for more than $100,000 in damages for medical bills, loss of income and court costs.
Attorney Turner A. Rouse of Belleville represents Gallagher.
