A lumber company claims one of its former bookkeepers embezzled hundreds of thousands of dollars from it.

Worden Lumber Company filed a lawsuit June 12 in Madison County Circuit Court.

Worden alleged conversion, fraudulent misrepresentation, fraudulent concealment, unjust enrichment and embezzlement.

The company had sought a judgment of no less than $250,000, plus punitive damages, costs and other relief the court deems just.

Worden was represented by Robert J. Evola and Mark L. Brown of SL Chapman in St. Louis.

Madison County Circuit Court case number: 12-L-823.
