A woman has filed suit against the driver who she claims struck the side of her vehicle.
Lora Green claims she was driving north on Halstead Drive in Belleville on Dec. 15, 2011, when defendant Keith Loehr, who was driving east on Halstead Drive, struck the side of her vehicle.
Because of the collision, Green was made sick, sore, lame, disordered and disabled; received injuries to her neck, back and knees; and incurred medical costs, according to the complaint filed Feb. 17 in Madison County Circuit Court. She also suffered disability, experienced pain and suffering and lost wages, the suit states.
Keith Loehr negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, drove in such a manner as to strike Green's vehicle, failed to properly apply his brakes, drove too fast and failed to decrease his speed when approaching an intersection, the complaint says.
Green also names Mary Loehr, who owned the vehicle Keith Loehr drove, as a defendant, saying Mary Loehr negligently entrusted her vehicle to an incompetent, inexperienced and reckless driver.
In her two-count complaint, Green is seeking a judgment of more than $100,000, plus costs.
Thomas C. Rich and Kristina D. Cooksey of Fairview Heights will be representing her.
