Two asbestos complaints filed in deferred docket

Heller

Two new asbestos lawsuits were filed in Madison County Circuit Court during the week of April 16 through April 20 in the court's deferred registry docket.

The following complaints were filed:

--Dana C. Brown of Missouri alleges he developed asbestosis after he was secondarily exposed to asbestos fibers through his father's work as a steam engine fireman for Wabash Railroad from 1945 until 1948 and as an operator at Meredosia Powerhouse in Meredosia from 1948 until 1984. Elizabeth V. Heller and Jena L. Borden of Goldenberg, Heller, Antognoli and Rowland in Edwardsville will be representing Brown. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 12-L-528.

--Michael L. Payne of Illinois alleges he developed pleural plaques after his work as an operator at Caterpillar from 1973 until 2011. Payne will be represented by Elizabeth V. Heller and Jena L. Borden of Goldenberg, Heller, Antognoli and Rowland in Edwardsville. Madison County Circuit Court case number: 12-L-523.
