A woman has filed suit against the driver who she claims rear-ended her at a red light.
Josephine A. Lance claims she was driving south on Nameoki Road at its intersection with Illinois State Route 203 in Granite City on March 23 when defendant Marlon K. Jackson rear-ended Lance.
Because of the collision, Lance sustained injuries and incurred medical costs, according to the complaint filed April 16 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Jackson negligently failed to stop for a red traffic signal, drove too close to Lance's truck, failed to keep a proper lookout and failed to stop or swerve to avoid a collision, the suit states.
In her complaint, Lance is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
