A woman has filed suit against the driver who she claims struck her vehicle, causing her to sustain more than $50,000 worth of injuries.
Ceara Horsley claims she was driving in Granite City on Sept. 6, 2011, when defendant Thomas J. Hanrahan, who was driving a vehicle owned by defendant Christian Sansom, struck Horsley's vehicle.
Because of the collision, Horsley claims she sustained numerous injuries, which resulted in medical costs of more than $50,000.
In addition to Hanrahan, who Horsley claims negligently failed to use reasonable care while driving, Horsley names Sansom as a defendant, saying he negligently entrusted his vehicle to an unskilled and incompetent driver, according to the complaint filed April 19 in Madison County Circuit Court.
In her three-count complaint, Horsley is seeking a judgment of more than $150,000, plus costs and interest.
Thomas C. Maag of Maag Law Firm in Wood River will be representing her.
