A Granite City mother says she and her daughter were hurt when they were hit by a woman who allegedly ran a red light.
Rebecca and Paul Stratton, individually and on behalf of their minor daughter, filed a lawsuit March 23 in Madison County Circuit Court against Rosemary Campbell.
According to the complaint, Rebecca was driving with her daughter on West Pontoon Road in Granite City in March 2010. As she crossed the intersection of Illinois Route 3, she says the vehicle was hit by a car being driven by Campbell, who was driving on Route 3 and allegedly failed to stop at a red light.
The Strattons accuse Campbell of negligence and seek more than $100,000 in damages for medical expense, loss of income and court fees.
Attorneys Eric J. Carlson of Edwardsville and Ronald J. Foster, of East St. Louis, are representing the Strattons. They ask for a jury trial.
