A Fairview Heights company offering same-day STD tests is accused of failing to pay for more than $26,000 worth of laboratory services.

Quest Diagnostics Clinical Laboratories Inc. filed a lawsuit Mach 19 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against QOL Group LLC.

According to the complaint, Quest Diagnostics agreed to provide same-day results for STD tests on samples collected at several of QOL's locations between September 2008 and September 2011.

Quest Diagnostics claims QOL has failed to pay for the diagnostic services provided from May 2009 through February 2011 -- a total of more than $26,000. Quest Diagnostics also claims it sent QOL a certified letter in February demanding payment but has yet to receive a response.

Quest Diagnostics accuses QOL of breach of contract and asks to be awarded the balance it is owed plus interest and court costs.

The New Jersey-based company is represented by attorneys James G. Nowogrocki and Richard D. Worth of St. Louis.
