A Bethalto woman says she was hurt when she was rear-ended while driving in Granite City.
Ashely B. Renner filed a lawsuit March 9 in Madison County Circuit Court against Kellie J. Burrows and Ryan Michael Burrows-Rigsby.
Renner says she was driving her Ford Ranger west on Johnson Road in March 2010. As she neared the 1500 block of Johnson Road, Renner claims she had to stop because of traffic. Renner alleges Burrows-Rigsby drove a Mercury Cougar Xr7 into the back of the Ranger. She says the impact of the crash caused her to run her pick-up truck into the vehicle stopped in front of it.
Renner accuses Burrows, the owner of the Mercury, and Burrows-Rigsby of negligence. She seeks more than $100,000 in damages for medical bills, lost wages and court fees.
Attorneys S. Russell Meyer and Ann M. Meyer of Alton are representing Renner. They ask for a jury trial.
