A Missouri woman has filed suit against the Illinois corporation where she claims she fell and fractured her left wrist.
Ann E. Guiffrida claims she was visiting the Palace at RR1 in Hamburg on April 18, 2010, when her leg caught in siding protruding from the building, causing her to fall and fracture her left wrist.
In addition to her fracture, Guiffrida sustained injuries to her left hand, left shoulder and right wrist and incurred medical costs, according to the complaint filed March 5 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Guiffrida blames the Palace for causing her injuries, saying it negligently failed to maintain the steps in an appropriate condition, failed to warn people of missing steps and failed to provide suitable handrails.
In her complaint, Guiffrida is seeking a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
