A passenger allegedly hurt in an Edwardsville car crash is suing the driver she says caused it.
Natasha N. Mason filed a complaint against Lyndal H. Colburn on Feb. 22 in Madison County Circuit Court.
The alleged crash happened Aug. 8, 2011 on North Main Street in Edwardsville. Mason says she was a passenger in a vehicle driving west when it was allegedly hit by Colburn's vehicle. She accuses the driver of negligence for failing to avoid the collision.
Mason says the crash caused her injuries -- both internal and external -- along with disability and disfigurement. She says she "has suffered great pain and mental anguish" as a result. Mason is asking to be paid more than $50,000 for medical costs, lost wages and legal fees.
