Alton accident causes serious injuries, suit says

Mormino

A St. Clair County man is being asked to pay more than $50,000 after allegedly rear-ending another car while driving in Alton.

Patricia Timmermeier filed a lawsuit against James M. Pride on Feb. 3 in Madison County Circuit Court.

The alleged crash happened as Timmermeier was stopped in traffic at the intersection of Seminary Street and Homer Adams Parkway in January 2011, according to the complaint.

Timmermeier says Pride, driving a Chevrolet Blazer south on Seminary Street, crashed into her from behind. She claims she was seriously hurt in the crash.

Timmermeier accuses Pride of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages to compensate for medical expenses, loss of income and court costs.

She is represented by attorney Samuel A. Mormino Jr., of Alton.
