Belleville parents are suing a Swansea man that allegedly rear-ended them while they were driving with their son on Lebanon Avenue.
Ikeem G. Clark and Gina B. Clark, individually and on behalf of her minor son, filed the lawsuit against Danielle M. Daniels on Jan. 3 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
The alleged crash happened in January 2010. According to the complaint, Gina was driving a Chevrolet Impala with her son and Ikeem as passengers. As the family of three headed west on Lebanon Avenue, they say the Impala was hit from behind by an Oldsmobile Alero being driven by Daniels.
All three of the Clarks say they were seriously hurt in the crash and required ongoing medical care as a result of the injuries.
The Clarks accuse Daniels of negligence and ask for more than $200,000 in damages for medical expenses and court costs. They are represented by attorney Robert C. Nelson of Belleville.
