A Cahokia man is suing the driver of a car that allegedly rear-ended him while he was driving through that city.
Carey Jones filed the lawsuit against Charles Houston on Dec. 29 in St. Clair County Circuit Court
Jones was driving his 2009 Pontiac on Water Street in February 2011, according to the petition. Jones says he was stopped at the intersection of Camp Jackson Road when he was hit from behind by a 2006 Ford pickup driven by Houston. Jones claims the impact caused serious injuries to his neck and back.
Jones accuses Houston of negligence and seeks more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses and court costs.
Attorneys Brian P. Millikan and Christopher A. Wright, of St. Louis, Mo., are representing Jones. They ask for a jury trial.
