The owner of a piece of Fairview Heights property claims its tenant has failed to make rental payments.

Big Red filed a lawsuit Dec. 27 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against MJ Fairview Heights.

In its complaint, Big Red claims it leased its premises at 10855 Lincoln Trail in Fairview Heights to MJ beginning in June 2008.

Since then, MJ has repeatedly failed to make its required monthly payments, according to the complaint.

Big Red has sent multiple notices to MJ notifying it of its delinquent payments, but has failed to receive the money owed, the suit states.

In its complaint, Big Red seeks a judgment of more than $100,000, plus attorney's fees, costs and other relief the court deems just.

Garrett P. Hoerner of Belleville will be representing it.

St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 11-L-695.
