A Granite City woman is suing a driver who allegedly rear-ended her car while driving in Bethalto.
Suzanne Andrews filed the lawsuit Dec. 16 in Madison County Circuit Court against Ricky A. Dixon.The alleged crash happened in September 2010.
Andrews says she was driving her 2004 Chevrolet Venture on Illinois Route 111. As she approached the intersection of Bethalto Drive, Andrews says the light turned red and she came to a stop. As she waited at the stoplight, Andrews claims she was hit from behind by a Ford F150 pick-up truck driven by Dixon. Andrews says the rear-end collision caused her to receive multiple serious injuries that required extensive medical treatment.
Andrews accuses Dixon of negligence for failing to avoid the crash. She is asking more than $50,000 in damages for medical bills and court costs.
