A Madison County woman is suing the driver of the car that allegedly rear-ended her vehicle while driving in Granite City.
Margaret A. Pruitt filed the lawsuit Nov. 21 in Madison County Circuit Court against Larry Hopkins.
The alleged crash happened in October 2010. Pruitt says she had been driving west on Edwardsville Road and was attempting to turn south onto 13th Street. While stopped waiting to making the left turn, Pruitt says Hopkins crashed into the back of her vehicle.
Pruitt accuses Hopkins of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical bills, lost wages and court costs.
Attorney Gregory M. Tobin of East Alton is representing Pruitt.
