A man has filed suit against the driver who he claims rear-ended his vehicle.
Ralph Johnson claims he was driving west on Illinois Highway 15 near its intersection with Demazinod Drive in Stookey at 11:52 a.m. on Oct. 8, 2010, when defendant Brooklyn Dunihoo, who was driving in the same direction, struck the rear of his vehicle.
Because of the collision, Johnson suffered severe damages, was hindered from attending to his usual duties and suffered great pain and anguish, according to the complaint filed Nov. 23 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
Dunihoo negligently failed to stop or swerve to avoid a collision, drove without keeping her vehicle under proper control, drove too fast, drove without keeping an adequate lookout ahead and failed to equip her vehicle with adequate brakes, the suit states.
In his complaint, Johnson is seeking a judgment of at least $50,000, plus costs.
He will be represented by Ely Hadowsky of Brown and Brown in St. Louis.
