A mother claims her son fell through a hole in a bouncy device at MJ Fairview Heights, also known as Monkey Joes, causing him to receive injuries to his leg.
Danielle Sansocie filed a lawsuit Nov. 23 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against MJ Fairview Heights.
In her complaint, Danielle Sansocie claims her son, Bryce Sansocie, was playing on the bouncy toys at MJ Fairview Heights on Sept. 4 when his leg became entangled in a tear.
Because of the incident, the boy sustained injuries to his leg; became sick, sore, lame, disordered and disabled; and incurred medical costs, according to the complaint. In addition, Bryce Sansocie suffered disability and disfigurement and experienced pain and suffering, the suit states.
Danielle Sansocie blames MJ Fairview Heights for causing her son's injuries, saying it negligently failed to properly inspect its toys and allowed a rip to exist in its bouncy toys.
In her complaint, Sansocie seeks a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
James R. Williams of Williams, Caponi and Foley in Belleville will be representing her.
