A man claims he sustained permanent injuries after a driver crashed into his vehicle.
Jason P. Reid filed a lawsuit Nov. 1 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Richard L. McDonald.
In his complaint, Reid claims he drove a 1996 Ford Econoline E350 north on Green Mount Road at its intersection with Carlyle Avenue in Belleville on Nov. 9, 2009, when he stopped as he was approaching the intersection. At the same time, McDonald was driving a 2001 Ford F150 truck in the same direction when he failed to stop for Reid and collided with his vehicle.
In addition to his injuries, Reid suffered a disability, experienced pain, lost wages and incurred medical costs, according to the complaint.
Reid blames McDonald for causing the collision, saying he negligently failed to keep his vehicle under control and failed to see Reid's vehicle.
Jack A. Strellis of Strellis and Field in Waterloo will be representing him.
