A status conference is scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday in a personal injury lawsuit filed by Belleville attorney Robert Sprague and his wife, St. Clair County Auditor Patty Sprague.
The Spragues are suing Adriano Silva for injuries the couple suffered when Silva allegedly ran a Belleville stop-light in 2009 and crashed into their car.
Silva alleges that a brake defect and not his actions led to the accident.
The Spragues seek damages in excess of $50,000 and costs.
Robert Sprague represents himself and his wife.
Martin Clay represents Silva.
St. Clair County Circuit Judge Robert LeChien presides.
The status conference was set by an Aug. 29 order signed by LeChien.
The case is St. Clair case number 09-L-561.
