CHICAGO - The Illinois State Bar Association's (ISBA) 7th Annual Solo and Small Firm conference will be held Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 27-29 at the Hilton Springfield, 700 E. Adams St., in Springfield.
The event is the premiere conference in Illinois dedicated to meet the needs of the solo and small firm lawyer, according to the ISBA. The event offers attendees numerous educational sessions, networking opportunities, and an exhibit hall that showcases services and products to help the solo and small firm lawyer expand their career and improve the efficiency of their law practice.
Illinois Supreme Court Chief Justice Thomas L. Kilbride is featured plenary speaker for a session "From Solo Practice to the Supreme Court" on Friday, Oct. 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:35 a.m.
Attendees can choose from three tracks of programming – substantive law, legal technology, and effective and ethical practice – with topics ranging from fair debt collection practices and health care reform to selling your practice and dealing with e-mail overload.
