A Madison County woman is suing the driver of the car that allegedly crashed into hers in Wood River.
Amanda L. Cox filed the lawsuit against David A. Campbell Sept. 27 in Madison County Circuit Court.
The alleged crash happened on Illinois Route 140 in November 2009. Cox says she was driving east on Route 40, approaching the intersection of Lenora Street, when Campbell allegedly drove in front of her.
As Campbell attempted to turn left from westbound Route 140 onto Lenora Street, she allegedly crashed into Cox's vehicle. Cox claims she was seriously hurt in the crash. She accuses Campbell of negligence and asks for an unspecified amount of money in damages for medical expenses, loss of income and court costs.
Cox is represented by attorney Laura A. Cole of Alton.
