The insurance provider for a Madison County man wants to be reimbursed money the company paid out after the policy holder was allegedly hit while driving in Collinsville.
State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, as subrogee of Terrence Diebold, filed a lawsuit against Mark Adams Oct. 3 in Madison County Circuit Court.
According to the complaint, Diebold was pulling a trailer with his truck in January 2007 when Adams crashed into him. State Farm claims the crash caused more than $59,000 in damages to Diebold and his property. The insurance provider is asking Adams to pay that amount plus interest and court costs. The company contends Adams is the driver responsible for the crash and, therefore, responsible for the expenses associated with it.
Attorney John E. Kerley with Kerley and Associates law firm in Springfield is representing State Farm.
