Motorcyclist seeks $50K over I-255 ramp accident

A Madison County motorcyclists is asking to be paid more than $50,000 by a driver who allegedly crashed into him while riding.

Frederick D. Zulawski filed a lawsuit against Elizabeth McCormick Sept. 26 in Madison County Circuit Court.

Zulawski says he was riding his motorcycle west on East Gateway Commerce Center Drive on Aug. 25. As he neared the Interstate Route 255 off-ramp, Zulawski says McCormick, who was exiting the freeway, ran the stop sign and crashed into him.

Zulawski says the crash caused serious injuries to multiple parts of his body. He says he now suffers pain and permanent disability as a result.

He accuses McCormick of negligence and is asking for more than $50,000 in damages for medical costs, lost wages and court fees.

Zulawski is represented by attorney Brad L. Badgley of Belleville.
