A Lebanon man claims he sustained eye injuries after a driver collided with a parked vehicle.
Gregory E. Griffin filed a lawsuit Aug. 1 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Sabrina M. Skinner and Francisco Sandoval.
Griffin alleges he rode in a vehicle Skinner drove north on North Vine in O'Fallon on Dec. 6 when she collided with a car parked on the street.
Because of the collision, Griffin was violently thrown within the vehicle, experienced great pain and mental anguish and incurred medical costs of more than $50,000, according to the complaint.
Griffin blames Skinner for causing the collision, saying she negligently failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to keep the vehicle under proper control and drove too fast.
Co-defendant Sandoval owned the vehicle Skinner drove at the time of the collision, the suit states.
In his two-count complaint, Griffin seeks a judgment of more than $50,000, plus costs.
Dominic Kujawa of Belleville will be representing him.
St. Clair County Circuit Court case number: 11-L-431.
