A St. Clair County man says his car was hit by a man driving the wrong way in a Collinsville Wal-Mart parking lot.
Donald Austin filed a lawsuit against Rakim Tate July 8 in St. Clair County Circuit Court.
The alleged crash happened in August 2009. Austin says he was driving south down a parking aisle when Tate hit him. He argues Tate drove across several parking spaces, against the flow of traffic, and crashed into him.
Austin alleges he was seriously hurt in the collision. He accuses Tate of negligence and asks for more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses and court costs.
Attorney Justin B. Mattea of Collinsville is representing Austin.
