An insurance company has filed suit against the woman who it claims set a fire to one of the properties the company insured.
American Family Insurance Company claims defendant Tamara S. Reliford caused a fire at 305B Greystone Dr. in Alorton on Jan. 29, 2009.
The company does not specify how Reliford caused the fire, but does say it was forced to pay its insured $77,520.98 in damages.
In its complaint filed Aug. 3 in St. Clair County Circuit Court, American Family Insurance Company is seeking compensatory damages, plus costs and other relief the court deems just.
Brad Pierce, Gregory J. Pals and Tammy F. Wool of Kramer and Frank in St. Louis will be representing it.
