A Madison County woman is suing the driver of the car that allegedly rear-ended her in Alton.
Erline L. Leady filed the complaint against Derek P. Daum July 26 in Madison County Circuit Court.
Leady says the alleged crash happened in August 2009 as she was driving east on Homer Adams Parkway. As she approached the intersection of Alton Square Mall Drive, Leady says she was hit from behind by Daum.
Leady contends Daum was negligent for allegedly causing the collision. Leady says she was hurt in the crash and should be paid more than $50,000 in damages for medical expenses, lost wages and court fees.
Attorney Timothy F. Campbell of Godfrey is representing Leady.
